Trying to catch up

As many of you have noticed I haven't been posted much in the last few weeks and I'm sorry! I have many changes coming and many ways for everyone to get a little something from my blog. I have a few questions that I need help with.

~What day would you like me to have my Blog Hop on?
~Would a newsletter be any good?
~What are your thoughts on surveys?
~Would you like me to have a page on just giveaways I come across or just the ones I'm  hosting?

If you have any suggests or would like to see something that I didn't list, please feel free to let me know. I'm open to any and all suggestions. I'm working on having a Blog of the Week, working on the details and will keep you posted.

I have Recipe section that I'm adding recipes that I've made and will be making. If you have a favorite recipe that you would like to share, please feel free to share it. I'll add it to my list to make in the future. I'm open to trying everything! (hint! I'm a sucker for sweets!)

Please be patient with me

Please be patient with me while I get some things organized! :) I'm working on making Mommy AKA Amy easier, more informative, fun, humorist, with coupons, guest blogger infomation, blog hopping, blog of the week and so much more! If there is something you would like to see on Mommy AKA Amy, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Hope you are enjoying this nice day, sorry if it is raining where you are... currently it's not here but it may be in a few minutes.

Need Everyone's Help...

This year is getting worst as the months go by and would really like everyone to help me out.

This year, I'm helping save lives from Cancer by taking part in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and I'm hoping you will support me. Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against Cancer, it is getting more and more personal in my own life. I've lost an Aunt from Breast Cancer, my Grandmother survived Breast Cancer but it came back a few years ago and is still fighting. My hubby has lost his Mother this past March to Lung & Bone Cancer and we just received word that his Grandmother has Breast Cancer. This is a horrible disease hurting the ones we love and we need to stand up and kick Cancer in the ass!

My Team and I have a set goal to raise at least $1000 and I have my own personal goal set at $250, I'm currently at $35. If you could in any amount to help donate, it would be greatly appreciated!! Please use this link or under {the Mommy} click on iHope to go straight to my personal page, to make a secure, tax-deductible online donation to the American Cancer Society. You can make a one-time gift, or increase your impact by donation monthly! You can also donation in recognition of a loved one with a Luminaria Donation.

Thank you and I will keep you updated on my progress!!

I'm still alive

Hello Everyone!

I know its been a while but I'm still alive. I've been very busy with life, here is a summary...

my kids... sure keep me so busy to begin with
trying to get my photography business more organized & running
never ending cleaning
I'm now certified in CPR & First Aid including infant CPR.
I've joined a Team for Relay for Life (will have more information about ways to help)

Please bear with me while I get flowers in a row, more organized and updated. I have ideas for articles with some days being the same, like what I've started with the crock-pot recipes (updating soon!)

Great weather, busy day of a Mommy

Just can't believe this weather is finally here (just don't like Mother Nature know!) for a few days anyways. I'm sure it will be just a tease like the other day or so we had before. I did get a little sun unlike a few friends, they burned but I became a golden brown and soon will be darker (gotta love being Italian!). A little more to my little project of Sexy Back!!

I'm trying to get caught back up with my blogs, my posting, emails and so much more. Hopefully I get most of them done before I get too tired (my alarm clock went off a little earlier then normal, 6am! but I love her too much)

I just figured out the labels on my posts now just to remember to complete them before I publish my posts... (need a really big sticky note) as I have a ton every where on my desk to help remind me of things (little distractions about 19 mos. & 5 yrs. old).

Some days I really dislike cleaning, it never fails. I get one room all clean where you can eat off the floor without getting anything on it and someone comes over and destroys it! I'm thinking of going on strike or even better, have only a day or two where they could come over and the rest of the week is normal for us. Didn't realize how company coming over every day can really mess up our routine so badly. This may be the biggest reason why it is so hard for me to find my me time.

The meeting with my son's preschool teacher and IEP team went very well. He is already for Kindergarten in the fall and will have Speech Therapy during the summer. I don't think I've mentioned it before but my son has a Speech Problem and thankfully for those wonderful therapists and teachers, I can't seem to get him to be silent for more than two seconds now! Just can't believe he is growing so fast, I brought him a big boy bike! Love him so much, just wish I could find that magic potion to keep him little longer, just a little longer both him and his sister.

Speaking of his sister, I was able to talk her out of getting another baby doll and she got a really big pink ball. Don't think I could do that again! She was very upset that I wasn't getting her a 20 inch bike like her brother that had the Disney Princesses and all! Heaven forbid I didn't get it.

Well it's getting late here and I have a good feeling that my alarm clock will go off just as early as this morning. Good Night!!

Yummy Crockpot Dinner

I'm always having a hard time with deciding on what to make for dinner... well I came across I found many recipes for busy Mommys that could always use the extra help. So for my first recipe, I chosen... (drum roll please) Crockpot Beef Tips and let me tell you, there weren't any leftovers! This is one great, easy to make and forget it dinner.

This was one yummy dinner and my children, well just my son, love it! My daughter has entered the picky eater stage so her option doesn't really count until further notice. My hubby was looking for more, I will have to make this again, maybe even a bigger batch so I could have some for the next day for lunch.

Hope you enjoy as much as we did! Happy Eating!

Looking for a great way to make Beef Tips? Just throw them in the crockpot! Super easy recipe, just serve with rice, noodles, or potatoes.

2 lbs. beef tips
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
½ c. water
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Step 1- Mix all ingredients. Cook in crock pot on low for 8 to 12 hours. (May also be cooked in casserole dish for 3 hours at 300 degrees)
Yield: 8 Servings

Whole family under the weather

Good evening my followers...
Sorry I haven't wrote a post in a few days, my children were sick on Wednesday. They were throwing up every where, my poor little ones. Luckily the next day was better, they ate some and kept it down. While nursing them back to health, my own health went down. Woke up this morning with a horrible headache, upset stomach and my whole body hurting.
On the better side, my Sexy is coming back slowly, thanks to Dance Central! I'm slowly moving like I used to with trying to complete the dance moves properly and what fun we are having in the process.
Hoping tomorrow brings happier moments without the sickness in the family... keep fingers crossed! Until tomorrow, good night!

Hello to all my new followers

Just wanted to say Hello to all of my new followers following my blog and twitter account! I feel special that there are wonderful readers out there, reading what I have to say. I hope I'm able to keep you all interested in keeping up with me in my journey of Mommyhood.

With working on getting my Sexy back, I have weighed myself yesterday and have found that I have lost 10 pounds since the last time I weighed myself which was about a month or so ago. I wasn't trying to loose weigh, I just have been very busy with Mommyhood.

My daily routine goes as followed...
feed the kids
clean the apartment (well try to!)
run after the kids (or at least Jasmine while Zac is at school)
feed the kids again
hopefully a nap for Jazzy
maybe I will get a bite to eat now & a little computer time
Jazzy up and ready to run again
try to figure out dinner (now have it planned, just have to figure out which plan I want to try to eat)
slowly get the kids ready for bed
then maybe a little me time before hubby gets home (doesn't work as planned)
And then maybe in bed by 11pm.

So as you can see how busy I get, that is just a summary, not the details! There is a lot more that I didn't mentioned.

Working on some photographs of my sister's prom with her boyfriend... where has the time gone?? I can't believe she is going to be 18 this October!!! It was yesterday that I was changing her diaper. Same with my own son, still can't get over him starting Kindergarten this fall. Wonder if I'm gonna cry like I did when he started Head Start. We will see

I think I'm getting the hang of blogging and now learning the twitter thing... I found I like twitter as I can post little things of my day right from my phone a lot faster than trying to write a blog on my phone. :) Well  I'm going to try to get some things done before bed...

Good Night!

A Little goes a Long Way

I've been looking for a way where I can help people that have some kind of Cancer. I've joined the Relay for Life (reading up on everything before I start) and a special one for kids, Cookies for Kids Cancer.

I'm asking for my followers to be a Good Cookie and support my efforts to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

Founded by two parents inspired by their young son’s ongoing battle with pediatric cancer, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is a 501 (c)(3) that raises awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research through local bake sales and other events. Since the organization was founded, more than 2,000 bake sales and other events have been held across the North America and Europe. Pediatric cancer is the number one disease killer of kids in the US due, in large part, to lack of funding. My goal is to raise $250 (for the month of May, if not more!) and I’m hoping you will help me reach that goal. One way you can participate is by making an online donation. Click on the link to visit my personal donation page where you can make a secure credit card donation.  No amount is too small and every dollar makes a difference. To learn more about pediatric cancer and Cookies for Kids' Cancer, visit the website:

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. We’re in this fight because every child battling cancer deserves a fighting chance. I hope to see you at our bake sale where you can have a good cookie and be a Good Cookie.

Sweet Smiles
